I'm Steve, my wife is Cryss. We've been taking road trips for over twenty-five years. We've traveled in many states but like to take one or two day trips right here in our own state. We love exploring, culture, history, nature and developing new friendships. Over the years we've met many wonderful, everyday men and women. Some have become lifelong friends. A weekend trip can be as much fun as a trip across the country. To me, some of the most interesting people and places are not in Hawaii or Grand Island, but in the small towns and farmlands of the Midwest. We travel and find the oddities; those unique places you won't find listed on a website. We explore authentic life in a region and avoid the tourist hot spots. There are those unique places that are not recognized or known as “attractions”. They range from quaint villages to breathtaking natural landscapes to historical and cultural sites untouched by tourism. Ohio has more than 2,500 lakes and 44,000 miles of rivers and streams, eighteen designated scenic byways and thousands of miles of back roads. This blog was created to share our experiences and photos; it is a sample of things you might see while travelling in the state. We hope it inspires you to take a road trip and make your own discoveries.
